How to Build a Better Platform for Trades Teams?

Iteration is the secret sauce for building a successful product.

Launching a new product is never just about shipping features. It’s about understanding a market’s frustrations, designing with empathy, and pushing something into the world that makes everyday work easier. That’s the philosophy that guided us at Ten-24 Inc. when we brought Jetmir to life.

For years, trades businesses such as electricians, plumbers, HVAC crews, general contractors, etc. have been caught between bloated, expensive field-service management platforms and clunky spreadsheets that simply don’t scale. We heard the same story over and over again: “I just need a tool that helps my team run jobs without making me feel like I’m paying for software I don’t even use.”

From Pain Point to Product

Jetmir started, as many products do, with a conversation at the kitchen table (over a few poker games actually). Friends in the trades kept sharing stories of late invoices, lost job details, and too much time spent juggling apps that weren’t designed for the way their teams actually worked. We saw the opportunity to build something faster, simpler, and more transparent.

That translated into a platform focused on three core principles:

  • Straightforward pricing: no feature-gating, no nickel-and-diming.
  • AI-powered scheduling and job management: tools that cut down on back-and-forth, giving crews more time in the field while avoiding double-booking.
  • Ease of Use: electricians, plumbers, HVAC technicians, and general contractors deserve a platform that’s easy to use; they do not have time for complicated software.

The Build Process

Our approach was iterative. Instead of chasing every possible feature, we doubled down on listening to real users, where early trade crews were testing Jetmir in live environments. That feedback loop informed the roadmap, shaped UI decisions, and validated that we were solving real headaches rather than hypothetical ones.

We leveraged AWS infrastructure to keep things scalable but cost-conscious, which allowed us to deliver performance without passing unnecessary overhead to customers. The result is a lean, reliable product that can grow with a three-person crew or a 50-seat operation.

Why It Matters

Launching Jetmir isn’t just about software; it’s about giving trades professionals a fair alternative in a market crowded with enterprise-level systems. We wanted to build a tool that respected the realities of running a contracting business: crews showing up at 6:30 a.m., invoices that can’t wait, and the constant juggle of customers, suppliers, and schedules.

By focusing on usability and transparency, Jetmir makes it easier for trades teams to do what they do best—keep the lights on, the water running, and the projects moving—without getting bogged down by admin work.

Looking Ahead

The launch is just the beginning. With Jetmir now live at Jetmir, we’re continuing to expand features based on user feedback, refine analytics dashboards, and explore deeper integrations that help businesses track profitability with clarity.

At Ten-24 Inc., we see Jetmir as more than a product. It’s a statement: trades professionals deserve technology that works with them, not against them. And this launch is the first step toward making that vision real.
